Conservative Arkansas Board Supports Davy Carter For House Speaker

In Arkansas’ state capitol on November 15, members of the House will be voting for the next House Speaker, typically nominated and elected from the majority party, now held by the Republicans. The Republican choices are Representatives Davy Carter and Terry Rice, although, a Democrat choice was being floated for the role, as well. As far as the best choice to promote conservative solutions in the coming legislative sessions, however, the board of Conservative Arkansas would like to make it known to its members and to the public that we support Davy Carter for House Speaker.

We wish well to all the candidates, and recognize that the will of the people is infinitely more likely to be served when more than one option is presented, so we are excited to see a democratic process taking place for such an important role. We look forward to working with a Republican majority in the State Legislature and are praying for everyone’s success in the coming challenges that we face as a state and as a nation. We believe that those challenges will be most effectively communicated through the leadership of Representative Carter.

“We believe that those challenges will be most effectively communicated through the leadership of Representative Carter.”

I am curious to know the pros and cons of each candidate. The above sentence has no supporting detail.
